Spiritual Living

These days, knowing GOD and leading a Bible focused life is harder than ever. Because the battle for your time and attention wages on, everywhere you turn. The enemy of Faith is working relentlessly to wins as many souls as possible: hence, believers must unite and focus up building each other up. 

For many who are either new to the Faith or are undecided; here are practical ways to get started on the most exciting and rewarding journey of your life: because nothing in this world is greater than Salvation-knowing JESUS CHRIST YESHUA. 

In no order:

Acknowledge GOD - Many today argue that is no GOD, yet surrounded by overwhelming evidence of HIS Majesty. His creation: You, Me, the sea, the lands, the animals, the vegetation to name a few, are all evidence of an intellect designer. The argument about whether there is Creator loses weight when you think of the Earth and all that's within it. Because everything or object is made by someone. E.g., every building has an architect; every product has a designer. In the same light, God created everything. Read Gensis 1: 1-end. Therefore, give GOD the honor due to HIM. because arguing that there's no GOD, is like telling people you landed on planet Earth, with parents. Read Psalms 100, 111. 

Accept JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and Saviour - The greatest personal achievement in life is not money or power; it is Salvation! A personal relationship with your Maker-JESUS CHRIST (John 1: 1-8) Without Salvation, all ones Earthly existence, is vanity. JESUS CHRIST is your only hope of Eternity. Thus accept HIS wonderful sacrifice of Death and Resurrection (John 3: 16) for the forgiveness of your sins, and the cleansing of your Soul. Without JESUS CHRIST, you are going nowhere. Read John 14: 6. 

Confess your Sins and ask GOD for forgiveness - It's one thing to acknowledge GOD, and accept JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and Saviour! It's quite another thing to accept that you have sinned (living life your way) and you need forgiveness. It's because of our sins, that CHRIST came and died to free us from it's penalties. Read Romans 3: 23. Therefore, humble yourself and ask GOD for mercy, and grace to lead a GODLY life moving forward. Read 1st John 1: 9. 

Get Baptized - Baptism is very powerful in the realms of the Spirit. It signifies dying to Sin (lowering into the water) and rising with CHRIST (raising you up from the water) It is a bold declaration of Faith is CHRIST and a decision to follow HIM. Read Mathew 28: 19. John 3: 5.

Read the Bible and pray daily - The only way to know GOD is through HIS word-The Bible. Without reading the Bible, you cannot know what your belief is based upon, you cannot defend your Faith against naysayers, nor can you lead a GODLY life. Praying is your daily communication window to GOD. Without talking to GOD, you cannot develop a strong relationship with HIM. Just as you cannot build or maintain a relationship with someone you do not speak to. Thus, daily Scripture reading and praying is essential for your Spiritual growth. Read Psalms 119: 11. 1st Peter 2; 2. Jeremaih 3: 33.

Find A Church - It is expedient for new believer to be part of the body or community of believers; to strengthen their Faith. Because you become a target for the devil, once you make a bold decision (Baptism) to follow CHRSIT. So, daily or weekly connection with fellow Christians, will energise and encourage your walk with GOD. Find a Bible believing Church and join! Get active: find a program within the Church that aligns with your personality and participate. Make friends, so you'll have people to talk to on a regular basis. Read Hebrews 10: 25.

Practice the teachings of CHRIST - Becoming a born again is a call to lead a selfless life. It's a call to a life of service to others, thus model yourself. One notable advice JESUS taught us (Mathew 7: 12) is to do unto others as you'll have then do to you. That's what it all boils down to. Lead a life that others will see and know that truly, you're a follower of CHRIST. Mathew 5: 16. Mathew 25: 35-40 and Mathew 35: 38-40. This means: be kind to people. Genuinely help others as best you can; not because there's some benefit in it for you. Rather help, because you became aware of their need, and you're able to assist. Be honest in your dealing with everyone. E.G., Family, friends, employers, employees, business associates etc. Be gentle in approach, be humble in character, speak with grace, encourage others. Desist from gossip and slander. Be content, not greedy. These are a few of the many ways to lead a GODLY life. Read Mathew 12: 36. Philippians 4: 11-12. 1st Timothy 4: 12. 1st Corinthians 10: 31. Colossians 3: 12. Colossians 4: 6. 

The truth of this matter is: if one genuinely seeks GOD, HE will direct their path unto GODLY living. This list is not exhaustive, it's a simple guide, because the journey of Faith is the job of the HOLY SPIRIT to lead. Be Blessed.

The Rapture: What About It?

The rapture (1st Thessalonians 4:16-17) is the most debated topic in the Christian/Believers community-worldwide!  While some Christians insist, true believers will be removed from the impending doom; that’ll come upon the earth in the last days, (Revelation 3:10) others, counters the notion with a passage from the same book (Revelation 7:14.)
