The Rapture: What About It?

The rapture (1st Thessalonians 4:16-17) is the most debated topic in the Christian/Believers community-worldwide! While some Christians insist, true believers will be removed from the impending doom; that’ll come upon the earth in the last days, (Revelation 3:10) others, counters the notion with a passage from the same book (Revelation 7:14.) With these opinions raging in the community of Believers, it can be intimidating to take a stand.

But recently, the Lord brought something to my attention, from the book of 2nd Thessalonians 2:6-7. This verse led me to understand that GOD is the Spirit withholding the forces of evil of this current world, in its fullness. In coming to this realization, I asked myself, why would GOD do that?

Could it be because GOD is waiting for the number of HIS chosen to be fulfilled, (John 10:16) so GOD can remove them from the Earth (1st Thessalonians 4: 16-18), as well as HIS Spirit, before letting HIS wrath (tribulation and great tribulation) descend on the rebellious? Another point: the one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed, of the tribes of Jacob! (Revelation 7:5-8. Revelations 14:1-5) These are they which evangelized (bringing people to CHRIST) during the tribulation and great tribulation. If so, it means they’ll be helping unbelievers turn to GOD, because true believers have left the earth. As there’s no need for them (the 144 thousand) to preach the Gospel to those who already believed!

This explanation makes sense, doesn’t it? And that’s what the Lord has led me to understand about this topic.

Although my ethos has always been: whether I am raptured, or I live through the tribulation period, I live for the glory of GOD (1st Corinthians 10:31.) And I strive daily to lead my life with this conviction. Therefore, I urge you all to do the same.

Please quit the debate about rapture and tribulation, as this only causes strife within the body of CHRIST. And we are to lead our lives an example to unbelievers, that they may see us, and glorify our Father in HEAVEN. 1st Timothy 4:12.

Please share this post if you can, and GOD bless You.
